This post is about a week late, so there will be twice the amount of drawing challenge stuff on here for those of you following it. Prepare to be bombarded with pictures! Sketchy sketchy sketch!
In other news, our gym Freeflow Academy hosted its "Like Water 2015" event and it was a huge it. I hate to sound cliche, but the energy in that place was AMAZING. It was a wonderful exchange of creative ideas and collaboration, performances, and I made some really cool new friends. Plus, I learned how to begin my worm bins for sweet, sweet compost! I am beyond excited for those worms! And I can't wait for our sister event, Like Fire, this fall. YOU SHOULD COME.
Additionally, my dojo is hosting our annual Chuck Epperson seminar this Saturday, so if you are in the Auburn area and want the opportunity to learn from an 8th Dan, you should swing by. Message me for the info and I will certainly get it to you. Chucks a great guy, and holy cow he is a juggernaut of information on the American Kenpo system. Your brain may hurt a little after three hours with him. But in a good way.
I had a little (re. a lot) of trouble with my car this month too - I ended up having to get the transmission completely replaced. The upside of that is that my car purrs like a stealthy panther now, instead of sounding like a 90 year-old duck with a cold. Hooray! But it did set me back a pretty penny, so if you'd like to take the opportunity to share my work with your friends, or people who you think would like it, I'd greatly appreciate it. And a huge massive thank you to Doug, Briana, and Christie for giving me rides all the time while I was getting this worked out. You guys are amazing.
On to the sketching!
Day 24 Prompt: "A Collage." I haven't scanned that in yet, you will have to bear with me until I do.
That catches me up on the drawing challenge. I also had time to start a new actual piece this weekend. Here are some cell phone pictures.....
OKAY I THINK THAT'S IT!! Thank goodness, this post is a doozy.
Tell me what you have been up to. Engage with me.
Until next time....
